Community Partnerships: The Institute of Mining Resources Begins Visits to Activate Community Engagement, Starting with Al-Tamayuz Al-Ilmi Schools

“How Do You Plan Your Future?”

As part of its efforts to activate community partnerships and raise awareness, the Institute of Mining Resources Training has launched a series of visits to various governmental institutions, beginning with Al-Tamayuz Al-Ilmi School. The initiative aims to spread knowledge and raise awareness about the future of the mining sector in the region.On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Institute, in collaboration with Al-Tamayuz Al-Ilmi School in Arar, held a workshop titled “How Do You Plan Your Future?” targeting high school students as part of its community outreach and awareness efforts.The school, represented by its principal, Mr. Miyah bin Wadi Al-Enezi, welcomed the Institute’s team, expressing appreciation for the Institute’s efforts in delivering awareness initiatives aimed at high school students.The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Alaa, the school’s Gifted Students Coordinator. The Institute’s team then introduced the Institute of Mining Resources Training, presenting its mission and objectives. This was followed by an engaging and well-received workshop attended by students and several teachers from the school.

The awareness workshop covered the following key topics:

  • The importance of planning for the future

  • How to build a strong personal character

  • Raising awareness of the labor market

  • The role of volunteering in skill development

  • The importance of training and qualification in obtaining job opportunities

  • The significance of the mining sector in the national economy

  • Career opportunities available in the mining sector

  • Introduction to the Institute and the services it offers

An open discussion session was held at the end of the workshop, during which participants’ questions and inquiries were addressed.

At the conclusion of the session, Mr. Alaa, on behalf of Al-Tamayuz Al-Ilmi School and its principal Mr. Miyah Al-Enezi, expressed gratitude to the Institute and its team for delivering the awareness workshop, expressing hope for more similar sessions in the near and distant future.
