The Applied Mining Diploma is designed to meet the needs of the local labor market in the mining sector. The program is delivered over five half-year training semesters, each lasting 16 training weeks, with a total of 1,424 training hours. Additionally, it includes 360 hours of on-the-job practical training in the industry, with a maximum of 65 accredited credit hours.

Surface and underground mining

The program emphasizes a hands-on, practical approach that complements theoretical knowledge. Most specialized courses integrate intensive practical exercises and cooperative training programs in collaboration with relevant industry sectors.

Graduates of this program are awarded a Diploma in Mining and are expected to pursue careers in mining operations, quarries, and related fields.
In the final training semester, the trainee prepares an applied graduation project that addresses a real-life problem in one of the mining fields, such as designing a mine site, developing a blasting plan, or conducting a field geological study, using engineering software and field data acquired during the training.
Upon successful completion of the program, trainees will receive an accredited diploma that qualifies them to work in the mining sector inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, giving them a competitive advantage in the job market.
