Program Description:
The Applied Mining Diploma program is designed in alignment with the needs of the local job market in the mining field. The training spans five academic semesters, each lasting sixteen weeks, with a total of 1,424 training hours, in addition to 360 hours of on-the-job training in the industry. The entire program does not exceed 65 credit hours.
The curriculum focuses on specialized skills in mining, mineral extraction, geology, and applied geology. It also includes training in engineering drawing using AutoCAD, map drawing using GIS, surface and underground mining, and sample preparation techniques. Emphasis is placed on hands-on practical training, closely integrated with theoretical knowledge in most of the core subjects, through intensive lab work and cooperative training with relevant industry sectors.
The program also includes general mining sector skills such as report writing, general safety, mine safety, as well as professional orientation, work ethics and excellence, and communication skills.
Graduates of this program are awarded a Diploma in Mining, qualifying them for careers in areas related to mining operations, quarries, and mineral extraction.

Diploma Project:
During the final training semester, the trainee prepares an applied graduation project that addresses a real-world problem in one of the mining fields—such as designing a mine site, developing a blasting plan, or conducting a geological field study. The project must incorporate the use of engineering software and field data acquired throughout the training program.
Certificate:
Upon successful completion of the program, the trainee receives an accredited diploma that qualifies them to work in the mining sector both within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and internationally. The diploma also provides a competitive advantage in the job market.
