Introduction:
A specialized qualifying course in mining and mineral extraction aimed at preparing national cadres to work in the mining sector—one of the vital sectors in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The course offers comprehensive scientific and practical content to help trainees acquire the essential professional skills needed to qualify for the job market.
Course Objectives:
- Equip the trainee with fundamental knowledge in the field of mining.
- Develop practical skills for working in a mining environment.
- Enable the trainee to successfully pass job interviews with mining companies and supporting firms.
- Prepare the trainee to demonstrate competence and technical skills in the field.
- Enhance employment opportunities in the mining sector and its supporting industries.
Brief Course Contents:
- Basic concepts and terminology in mining.
- An overview of the metal industry and extraction processes.
- Mining techniques and tools.
- Occupational safety in the work environment.
- Practical applications of extraction and classification methods.
- Fundamentals of Surveying and Mine Design Engineering
- Introduction to heavy machinery and equipment functions at work sites.
Course Project:
The final project includes:
- Carrying out a practical fieldwork exercise that simulates a real mining work environment.
- Preparing a comprehensive report on the extraction stages.
- Demonstrating the acquired skills before the course supervisors.
Certificate:
The trainee will receive an accredited certificate from the Institute of Mining Resources for Training, qualifying them to apply for jobs in mining companies and related fields.
