At the Institute of Mineral Resources, we respect your privacy and care about making sure you’re informed about how we use your personal data and your rights in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law in the Kingdom. We have prepared this notice to help you understand the nature of the personal data we collect from you, the purpose of collecting it, how it is processed, stored, and disposed of, the parties with whom your data will be shared, your rights, and how to exercise these rights.

What personal data do we collect, and how is it collected?

We collect your personal data directly from you through our online services that you register with, or when you contact us via email or social media platforms. We may also collect your personal data indirectly or through a third party who provides it to us.

The personal data we collect includes the following:

  • Your personal data that you provide to us when you contact us via email or social media, or when you register for the institute's online services.
  • When you submit an application for acceptance into one of the programs, we collect your personal data: name, identity information, contact details, qualifications, city, region, health data, and employment information.
  • When you enroll as a trainee at the institute, the following additional data is collected: banking information.
  • When you submit a job application, we collect your personal data: name, identity information, region, city, contact details, qualifications, experience, and professional certifications.
  • When you enroll as a trainee in the offered training programs, the following data is collected: name, identity information, contact details, educational level, region, city, and employment information.

With regard to private training, the following data is collected:

  • When you enroll as a trainee in one of the training programs accredited by the Private Training Authority at private training centers and institutes, we collect the following personal data indirectly (through the private training centers and institutes): name, identity information, contact details, and qualifications.
  • When registering a training facility, the following data of the facility owner is collected: name, identity information, city, region, and contact details. Additionally, the data of the authorized representative is collected: name, identity information, authorization/delegation number, gender, and contact details.
  • When applying for the Certified Trainer service, the following data is collected: name, identity information, personal photo, contact details, address, qualifications, training courses, and experience.
  • When requesting accreditation for the training and administrative staff of a private training facility, the following data is collected: name, identity information, qualifications and experience, registration details in the Social Insurance System, and contact details.
  • Your personal data obtained through a third party, including but not limited to: the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the National Information Center.
  • Your personal data provided to us through your participation in surveys and questionnaires.
  • If there is a contract or work commitment between you and the institution, your personal data is collected in accordance with regulatory and administrative requirements.

What is the purpose of collecting personal data, and how is it used?

We collect personal data in accordance with the institution’s activities in order to provide services to you.

The main purposes for which we use your personal data are:

  • Administrative and regulatory purposes.
  • To fulfill your requests and services.
  • To conduct analyses and statistics for decision-makers.
  • To send awareness messages or messages related to the services provided to you.
  • To fulfill judicial or security requirements.
  • If you are one of the institution's trainees, we also use your personal data to complete your acceptance process, monitor your training progress, and provide employers with your data after graduation.

How do we share your personal data?

Your personal data will only be accessible to authorized institution employees who need to view it in order to provide services. If this data is shared with other parties, it will be for legitimate purposes based on legal grounds or a justified practical need aimed at achieving a public interest without harming individuals’ privacy.

We may share your data with the following parties:

  • Government entities related to the nature of the institution's activities for integration purposes, including but not limited to: the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the National Information Center.
  • Entities that the institution cooperates with based on agreements or memorandums of understanding for data exchange, for legitimate purposes including training, employment, or other services.
  • Employment agencies (we share with them graduates' data for the purposes of job coordination and providing employment opportunities).
  • Other entities providing training or benefiting from the training (we share personal data with them for training purposes).

What is the legal basis for collecting and processing your personal data?

In accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law, the legal basis we rely on for collecting and processing your data is as follows:

  • The institution is the government entity responsible for technical and vocational training in the Kingdom, and we need to use your data in order to provide services to you.
  • In compliance with royal orders related to data exchange between government entities.
  • In fulfillment of a legal or regulatory obligation or a government request from one of the competent authorities.
  • Your consent to collect and process your data.
  • To protect your vital interests or the vital interests of others.

How do we store your personal data?

Your personal data is stored, processed, retained, and disposed of in a secure manner that prevents loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, in accordance with the applicable laws and policies of the institution. This is done within the geographical boundaries of the Kingdom to ensure the preservation of the national digital sovereignty of this data.
